While very neglected, it actually looks to be amazingly solid and complete. Someone bring it back to the brew city!

  8. I wonder what they expect to get for it. I'd love to have that car back in it's original state.

looks like it could one again be a nice car. I can never figure out how/when/why people buy a "NICE" car and then just let them set around and degrade and lose value.
maybe people thet build cars and those that buy cars think differently?

  12. Does anyone have a photo of what the car looked like when it was a show car? HRP

  13. I'd love to know the History of this build. I knew the car in 3 versions, but have no idea who actually built the car. Any Milwaukee area guys know more?

  14. A lot of things factor in when a car is let go to seed, whether it be a death or a divorce, lost storage or lost interest..it happens. HRP

Shame, what was once cherry got passed through owners and definitely looks to have spent some time stored out in the weather (rusted through chrome, vandalized glass, mildewed interior). It'll save.
No price on the ad makes me instantly think the owner wants more than it's worth.

Your in Waterford. Carl is in Waterford (is he still alive?). Maybe his son can bring you up to speed. Don't you live rather close to the shop? Stu

  18. with what HRP said......

  19. I can only hope that someone who remembers the car in its glory will pull the trigger and buy it. Saddened to see it and so many others fall to decay, but happy that it still exists too........Carls Shop is within 6 block of my home.

Thanks Rik. I don't think it in that bad of shape considering it was built over 45 years ago. Many customs resurface in much worse condition if they make it at all.

  27. At the risk of being too critical am I the only one fails to see the beauty in this car?

As often as not, many old hot rod & custom show cars ended up striped of usable parts that were sold off and remains were left outside because the luster of the show car circuit was gone.

I don't have a clue as to what the owner want's for the car but lack of price is a good indication that he has placed a high value on it due to it's quirky past. HRP

Lol, not too critical at all. Built for the circuit, not to beautiful.

I actualy like this car, but i Think we need to know more about what happent between the pictures.

And in my mind it's not beautiful, it's just a rolling piece of art, that is meant to be looked at on display.
Most custom are made to be enjoyed in Traffic.
    From driver aswell as pedestrians.
And do what no factory would make, weird combinstions in great harmony.

This is just art, that fits together.
