Flathead Fan Belt Needed - Got a Part #?

Discussion in 'The Hokey Ass Message Board' started by Harrison, Jul 30, 2007.

  1. I need a fan belt for my 24 stud '38 Flathead.

Does anyone have a NAPA part number for a belt that will work?

    TIA, JH

Napa's website shows a belt for generator/water pumps as

    NBH 2524538 ($17.69)

    For a '38 V8

    Belt - Fan
    NBH
    2526366 $13.89 ('42-48 second belt...)

Belt - Generator & Water Pump
    NBH
    2524538 $17.69 (Main '42-48 belt)

Belt - Generator & Water Pump ---1937 type
    NBH
    2524538

Same...this may not be right for '37-8 manifolds with gen stud very close to deck, should be right for taller bracket with stup maybe 1 1/2" above deck...

NAPA online produces results on some early vehicle searches, some things require trickery, some listed only in paper catalog. Anyone know which parts of those numbers call out length??

Does anyone have a part# for the single wide pully belt on my 59AB?

B50 is actually an equipment belt rather than an automotive unit. It is approximately 50" long.
Gates makes the correct belts in automotive grade and your lcaol parts store should have it on the hooks in the back.

    I'm running a B50 on mine as well - they're easier to find. ;)
