They'll get here in time...even if they don't show up until Thursday, that's enough time to work up the rest of the exhaust, even if it's just temporary dumps out the side.

Yeah. It's just metal! And what fun would it be without sweating a little bit?

A little shot of Anderson having fun with metal finishing.....

But at least we are still crossing stuff off the list!

Got it fired up last night, late, and then went to a buddy's birthday party. My head is pounding, but still have lots of work to do, so back at it again today. 4.5 days left.

Ordered all my brake stuff from JobLot last Tuesday. They have been great so far, but for some reason, this package is still not here yet. Starting to sweat the brake lines. Headers come in Tuesday.

15 hour days for the past week have kept me from posting photos but I will be updating the build thread after the Round Up.

Still left is full exhaust, fuel lines, wiring and body work.

Come see this car in Austin. It will scare your Children!

A sneak peak of the engine's first start!

Killer build man. That's almost exactly what I'd like to do with my 29 roadster..which reminds me, maybe I missed it, but what year, or years, was that tranny crossmember you used? I sure liked the look and fit of that, and I think I can make my 39 pedals work with that too.

F1 For Pickup trucks were made from 1948 - 1953.

Sell your 39 pedals to buy the crossmember and truck pedals. Building A K member with an f1 crossmember is not a good idea. Too much to make it work.

Nice work trimming rear drums/plate lips for clearance. Model A axle shafts were a few thousandths smaller at the tapers than the later V8s were, so Ford Parts Obsolete used to sell shims that fit right over the axles, to fit the larger I.D. taper of the hydraulic drums.

I made paper templates and cut some out of some Campbell's soup cans. (or Van Kamp's?
    Can't remember...1955)

Enjoyed your F1 center crossmember install. Good call on the wishbone ball 'worn repair'.
