Damn, this was a 2 page spread on the Presidents cup race at Aquasco.I ended up with 2 copies of the 1st page and none of the 2nd.
Check out the Mallicoat Bros Willys from Los Angeles taking Little Eliminator.Shows you how hot the gasser wars were and the bookings were there for west coast cars to go up against the easts' best.
    Best of times.

Have you sneaked a peek any idea if Lebanon Valley makes it into this mag?

Thanks. On the job training here.Got a bunch of Valley stuff coming up.

  18. Bucksnort. thanks for posting these. I've been collecting Eastern Drag News for many years. I have a pretty good collection and have several doubles if anyone is interested in trading. EDN/MEDN are great if you're into the early 60's east coast racing history. The match race reports are pretty cool. I'll post up a few scans in the future.

  19. Great stuff, if you have any Pocono Drag Lodge please post, thanks.

Nice,ChurchKey.In 1965,EDN and Drag Times combined and I think there were only a few issues with both names.

Would that be the same Dave Daly that had a whole building full of n.o.s. Willys parts and also brokered cars? He was in Brooklyn, if I remember right.

Yes same guy. I was the kid that hung around speed garage and polished the Americans on the MG.

When we went to New York to buy the dark green '33 Willys, we were amazed to find the Willys just barely fit through the alley to get it to the street. I would love to know more about that car. All I remember about it, at the time, was it was an injected small block/4-speed car with a straight front axle. I've wondered who built it and so forth. Does Dave have email? Maybe he remembers the car and can help. Thanks, Mike
