Very early Ivo-Zeuchel, he first ran American mags on the front before going to bike wheels...he also struggled to get the car to not smoke the tires like this with Zeuchel's horsepower, a lot more than he was used to....he and Zeuchel had an interesting partnership, story is that once in the shop Zeuchel got tired of Ivo's complaining about something and grabbed him, put him on the hook end of a chain hoist, lifted him off the ground and walked out of the shop, leaving Ivo to dangle in the air...Now Ivo could tell stories and this may just be an "Ivo story," but it is a good one...

  11. Doesn't look like there's even paint on the body yet. Ivo is a character for sure and, I heard Z was a piece of work in a whole other way.

  13. Jerry Card's comp coupe. Only "spooky" part was the rear skirts. The tire smoke couldn't escape, and filled the cockpit to the point of blinding the driver. They didn't last long.

Crossley, Williams, and Swan, probably Bill Crossley at the wheel...former NHRA starter Rick Stewart also took the helm, until he popped the chute and the entire back end broke off, probably worn out from runs like this.

Ramchargers. Kalitta, who had a name for every team, called them the Rum-chasers...

    Texas, probably San Antonio.

I think that this is Don Moody at Lions, Stump Davis was involved (?), maybe Wes Cerney?

Maybe Fontana? (although I don't remember seats on the left side of the track, no ID)

Manuel Gonzales "Californian," looks like Bakersfield, but not entirely sure. Manuel was the brother of tennis champion Pancho Gonzales, who also ran dragsters...late '50s

    Mother-In-Law 1.jpg
This is clearly Bakersfield, Bowers, Paris, and Reed from the Long Beach area...once ran a blown Desoto in a steel Fiat, graduated to this AA/FA.

The only driver in any Starlite was Chuck Griffith after Chuck Branham died in Starlite 1(The Dragmaster)
