Alittle chassis update, got the rear ladder bars set up in and whipped out some taper bushings to make some frame mounts for the split bones, made a front tie rod and got the front end together and set up ImageUploadedByH.A.M.B.1421690592.921211.jpg ImageUploadedByH.A.M.B.1421690612.744837.jpg

Looks good. Has any one ever replaced the rear corners of the coupe window ( the little one) and replaced them with front ones, eliminating the taper (going from the front of the coupe window toward the back) at the back (rear) of the coupe window? You would wind up with a symmetrical coupe window. I hope that makes sense.

Working on getting the front end finished so it can come out of the jig, machined up some threaded bushings for the front shock mounts and got them fitted, gotta get these finished welded in and then onto the c notch on front and rear

Great job. I make all my threaded adapters from a solid 40 ford driveshaft.

Here's some progress, got the frame tidied up , rear c notch done, rear frame rounded, and front notch done, and out of the frame jig ImageUploadedByH.A.M.B.1424189306.307743.jpg

Next up was to get it back assembled on the ground

It's the original front half of my new Dragster that Charles Tunnel built a couple year ago, ironically when he gave me this a couple year ago never did I imagine I would end up with the new dragster to compliment the old one lol, it's on the way backburner even contemplated Saling it a few times, just cost too much to run one these days, always a good dream though

Had to make some room in the shop may as well throw the body on, the body still needs to come down didn't want to totally cut the rear subrails out till I was building the new ones, got the fire stones on it too ImageUploadedByH.A.M.B.1425696570.602465.jpg

  29. Rusty,
Is the frame pinched at the cowl?
Will you do a "mini channel" of the body at the cowl?
What are your plans for the rear subrails? Got any pictures?

Sorry for all the questions, but your build is very similar to what I'm planning.

    Thanks,
    Gary
