just got done with a PC for my Grandson and will start a vw beetle pc soon.

any ideas on what to use for the center horn button that is missing and the tail lights for the vw would be appreciated.

    Thanks.

  9. After seeing the many incredible strollers/pedal cars/wagons and even go karts that have been posted on the HAMB, I decided to put my own spin on a stroller. So this is my HAMB inspired stroller I built from scratch.

Here is mine. I finished it for now the day before Good Guys. I really want to build a pedal car stroller but my kids are too old now so I may build one to sell. Next year I want to get rid of the 12 inch rear tires and get 6 inch wheels and tires to match the front. I also want to build a bomber style seat back and finish polish the handle and get rid of the piston pull knob because it starts to hurt the hand after a while.

Too big for pedal cars? not too big for these! http://www.jrcentral.com/
I live less than a 1/2 hour away from you in Grimes and have the molds for the Thunderbird 57, 58-60 and Mustang 65-66, 67-68 and 71-73 if the kids don't want to drive them, you can. Best of all is they are electric or gas powered not pedal.

Here is my nephew at 6'6" getting in and out of my 66 Mustang
It won't take the video link search user roadkillontheweb on youtube

    PM sent!

I was digging through some old images today and ran across a frame shot from the 61? caddy stroller with the flame thrower exhaust that I thought you guys might find interesting? The tank on the right is for the flaming exhaust and the tank on the left holds compressed air to run the air ride suspension. If you look close you can see the pivots and small cylinders front and rear.

Just picked up a couple of new 36" Radio Flyers from OSH so I could whip up a few new ones. For those of you in CA, OSH has them on sale for $36.xx each this week, while supplies last. That appears to be about $17 less than anywhere else I've seen them for sale.

I made this a couple of days ago. Goal was to repurpose as much stock parts as possible. The ONLY part not from the original package is a small piece of 10 gauge sheet that extends the front axle out from under the tub. Everything else, including nuts and bolts were all repurposed.

Kinda related to this thread- Check out the "GoodWood Revival 2012" show on Speed Channel. Really cute part about kids in pedal cars doing a race with LeMans type start.

The coolest of all wagons was probably the Globe Aeroflite, first manufactured in the early 30's. How's this for the height of art Deco? The Globe factory was only several blocks from the Garton corp. (one of the biggies) in Sheyboygan. Garton eventually purchased Globe and continued the Aeroflite wagon till the mid 30's.
I'm only the second owner of this wagon. The former owner saw my collection and donated it to me as he felt it was best for the wagon. He got it as a Christmas present in 34.
I finished the restoration last month. It is huge, heavy, and EXTREMELY well built!

Worked a little on the boys wagon. Added a seat and a root beer keg to the front. Gonna build a stake side crate for the back instead of the Coke crate so I can fit a cooler in it for those hot swap meet days! ImageUploadedByTJJ1355684528.736388.jpg

Here's the one I built for my boy, It started as a '53 murray, but it was a little dented up so I cut it to peices and turned it into a Mercury. I've been working on it since he was born and I was able to get it finished for his first Christmas.
