    Kool pix the bottom left hand pix of the guys and the merc was taken here in Wichita on Wichita Street back when ever, was in look magazine.

    Note how just a change of wheelcovers makes that '57 look so good.

    I just figured it out, those are '57 Olds wheelcovers!

  9. Yeah, it was lowered, too. My dad said it had some other mufflers or straight pipes or something. It would have looked better if it were all in the picture. :D

    Actually that would be a wing tank. A belly tank was actually slung under the fuselage or "belly" of the plane. Wing tanks were too small to use for car bodies but made good motorcycle streamliner bodies.
