292 inlines like a lot of fuel, I drag race one and run two afb four barrel carbs. If I were to put one on the street I would run two Rochester 2gcs. Mileage sucks but with carbs equal distance from the intake ports you get more efficient fuel distribution. If you wanted economy, you wouldn't have a 292
5-600 cfm will work . try to put the primarys out farther away from head . and try to use a vac secondary
I have a slightly built 292 in my 37. 600 Holley, Clifford manifold, 200-4R, Langdons cast iron headers, re-worked head, Langdons wolverine cam.
I'm running a Holley 390. Fresh off the dyno, made 285hp but motor man said it ran out of carb. He suggested a 600cfm. but I have heard 390 is better for the street. [/URL]
