Sorry it took me so long to reply.. I turn it about 7300rpm threw the lights... I have some VHS of the car but don't know how to post them... I have been running an old Holman/Moody single 4 barrel (750dp) lately, got an 11.24@117mph so far...

I was watching one of those HOLMAN MOODY intakes on the "auction site" recently. never seen one before, the design looked pretty serious! did a little more work on tuning the webers on my car. i really like your set-up, totally bad-ass. i'd like to see your video if you get it posted.

  10. Here's another one. Met this guy out at El Mirage, one legged racer out of Fresno with a 270 in his roadster. Very nice car! I think he ran around 140 that day although I think he had a problem and the car is capable of much more. ;)

Here's my I/P 292: .030 over, lump ported head, .606 lift cam, clifford intake, on propane with a 62-1 turbo in blowthrough, currently putting a 150 shot on it so it will pull a hill without downshifting

Anyone got photos of a 1954-1956 Ford sedan with a pair of clifford headers installed, cant get mine to fit, the rear one is hitting the bell housing and steering box.

heres one of the last runs of this motor before it ate the bottom end.
Needs an over-bore now and everything new. I guess i like flushing money down the toilet.

It'll be back though, and will be in my FED

One of the most impressive 6 bangers I have seen in my life was at the Maple Grove Keystone Nationals in 1994. A team from Connecticut was there with an FED which had an aluminum cross flow head on a Ford 300 block. In the staging lanes I asked the driver what I was looking at and he said he had the stroke shortened up to 296 cubes and he & his buddies used 3 351 Cleveland aluminum heads that were beat to death to make the head. Apparently two combustion chamber sections of the head have the head bolt holes line up to the 300 Ford pattern so they lopped off 3 sections, welded them together and ran the head dry. He called it a "Drinking mans car"

Have any of the northeast HAMBers seen this car??? It sure stood out!!!

56 210 4 door - I have a 56 belair 2 dr sedan (265, powerpak, 3spd with o/d), and roughly half the world's population has come up to me and said "I had one just like it only it was a 4 door and a 6 cylinder. Best durned car I ever had....etc etc." So I'm building one so they can say it without me choking them. And, I have kids now, so a 4 door makes a lot of sense.

These are all great looking/sounding engines fellas. Just goes to show that you don't need a v8 to scream down the road.

What was the time on that pass ? I couldn't tell. Also noticed it spun out of the hole. What's the rear suspension set-up ?

Haha ! Here's our 4 door. It makes for a fun drag car. People usually tend to laugh when they see it pull through the gates, then come looking at it after I've made a few passes. Best 1/8 mile time is 7.36@92, and our first 1/4 mile outing with it got us an 11.90@110.

    Or the drag strip !
