I have a strange fascination with these cars. I can really appreciate the attention to detail, the colors and the fact they are all finished to a high level. This thread was awesome and the cars are very impressive, nice work everyone.

  11. I've been looking for a poster that I had on my bedroom wall as a kid.
Asked back in 09 on this thread, and I've asked on another, with no luck.
Found a pic of the same, or very close candy red 39 Chevy. I'll post it, and maybe someone will remember the poster. The car was in the center of a bright green background.
If you have seen the poster, yourd
    never forget it.
Dont remember if it was a 38 or 39, but is real close to this 38. mooneyes-christmas-party-rods-2012-037.jpg

  12. The poster in question had been touched up with an airbrush, before going to print.
This was many years before the internet, and photoshop. :D
I remember it had details in small print at the bottom, which has me thinking it was made in the USA.
    Would a been late 70s, early 80s.

  13. ...most likely that 39 Chev poster by John Pickle, think he just passed away this year...I have that poster somewhere, will try to find/post it here.
edit: ...you are correct it was a sedan delivery...still lookin

  14. Awesome Rusty1.
I'm also thinking it could have been a Sedan Delivery, as I don't remember side windows.
Funny what time does to the memory. :D

all these bombs and no mention of la carcacha? maybe not so traditional in terms of bombs, but a pretty serious eye towards kustom design.
