Yes, the Deora was configured from a 1967 Dodge A100 compact pickup.

The lettering on the side of the bus reads "Jack Conrads Band". I think the bus was built for a movie.

Thats a DKW 3=6. It ran a very good 3 banger, they claimed to be as good at any contempery European straight six. Hence the 3=6.

That's because it was a two-stroke engine, right? 3- cyl two-stroke is a very potent combo IMO.

Yes it is, that's one of the fun features, of that car.

I'm not the biggest fan of 2stroke, except dirt bikes and DD engines. Green granats or rocks, ups did I say that out loud. :D

As Graham Chapman said, Quite agreed, much too silly!

I get the impression that the donk thing started with the look that resulted when people threw a lot of money at a car in the form of an outrageous set of wheels and tyres, without doing any suspension work at the same time. In other words, the look was established by a bling impulse without a concomitant craft or creative impulse. I think there is some idea of suggesting that the wheels are stolen, too: a sort of defiance in bolting them up to a car that doesn't really want them.

Then, of course, followed endeavours to exaggerate that look in ways that do require suspension work.

If you want to see lots more of this kind of automotive weirdness, go to banovsky.com and sign up for his car of the day email list. All sorts of obscure one-offs, concepts, european microcars etc. from all eras. They're archived on the site too if you don't want to clutter up your inbox.

The original FAB1 car from the Thunderbirds TV show was in fact a six-wheeled Rolls, but this one is a Ford Thunderbird based car for the modern Thunderbirds movie. Either Rolls wouldn't play ball this time or the tie-in between the name Thunderbird was too much for Ford and the producers to pass up.

Only on the HAMB could you have Donks and Lady Penelope in the same thread.

Both, by the way, are incredibly off topic.
