Bantam at Bonneville. I know it's hard to see, but it's a Rear engined Modified Roadster by SCTA standards

Do you know if he ever comes on here, or how to contact him possibly?

I am going to be building one myself and would like to pick his brain on a couple things....:D

Saw this car at the Throttlers' Picnic this year, and wondered if it was the same car I'd seen at the Petersen show at the Pan Pacific Auditorium in 1955. Turns out it wasn't, but the guy put me in touch with the builder of the '55 car, and I may have some pictures of it soon.

This car is not a great beauty, but I've been a sucker for Bantam coupes since seeing that one in 1955.

Wow! I had learned from Randy Chadock, the guy who built the Bantam I saw in '55, that it had been featured in a car magazine the following year. I just found this article in the November '56 Car Craft; I don't know how I had missed it all those years ago. This car affected me as strongly as the Grabowski and Ivo T's, which were just a little later, but then it just disappeared from sight. Randy tells me that he sold it out of state, but had no idea what became of it afterward. I think it's bitchin'!!
