anyone know an easy way to remove the galvanizing from emt?

    Only two ways to do it. Sandblast or chemically strip it. Grinders or course sanders/wire wheels will clear off some of the coating but will also embed it deeper into the base.

    Done right conduit can be used to build a tilt front end structure but I'd have to agree by the time it's all said & done, buying thin wall steel tubing is the best way to go.
     
  2. Chopolds, we are surrounded by folks who know it all without ever having done anything......
    A look back thru about any of the old books will show you conduit was used on a lot of early customs as substructure.
    we all know its not used to build a frame ,for Gods sake,it wasn't even hinting at that.
