Couldn't find anything on it, so i thought I'd post one of these..."have you ever??..." threads. Always seems like some of you cats have pics of the coolest stuff!

Reason i ask is because I am much more familiar with the 29 AA truc cabs and their room,...um,...lack of room that is (so I've been told by owners of them). I've got a guy in the wings with one, but I'm looking at it and thinking,..damn that looks like it'd be CRAMMED!!!??

So, I'm just curious if any of you cats have any info, pics, etc. with one.

    Thanks guys,...!!!
PS. In case you're wondering,...if you're not familiar, the cabs look like this:

There was one photo posted within the last year of a TT cab on a full fendered passenger chassis looked real nice.

Let's see. Who's that HAMB'er that hauls cars, lives in southwest Missouri, and isn't afraid of Frankenstien?

This is the Pumpkin Picker! One of my all-time back-when favorites! It was built sometime before 1972 by Ron Williams. It has THE slickest low buck rear suspension. The color is tangerine, btw.

  8. Yep, that's the first thing I thought too. The HAMB's own BenD.

I've always liked the thought of using a TT enclosed cab with a full-length RPU bed, full-fendered, on a stock wheelbase T chassis. I can't remember ever actually seeing one like this, though.

yeah I'm more of the traditional 40's 50s hot rod guy,....a full bed doesn't move me but I see now why you guys like it,....interesting take on it. Sounds a lot better in color!!

I agree. I think it'd look great, although the comments about limited room in the cab are certainly accurate. Almost like driving a step van!

Not the same thing at all, but it gives me an excuse to put up a picture of this neat new thing from Pete Eastwood.

I am building one right now. Its a TT truck cab on a model a frame. The cab is chop down to a 9 inch windshield. I did not channel the cab. I am 6'1" and I fit in it. The seats are from a mid 50 jeep CJ. There is a picture of it in my profile.

Your right. It can't be done. ;)

    I'm 6 ft' and it's channeled a bunch.

There have been many rods built using the 25-27 CLosed Cab Truck body. That body was held over from the 25 through 27 including the flat fender and all.
I was building one of these years ago on a Model A Frame full-fendered with boards and aprons, using 26-27 passenger car crowned fenders, and adding to the body to make a panel truck. Never finished it, sold it to a guy in Louisiana and never heard of it again.
These cabs were available only on the TT chassis but are fairly common at swap meets.
