Started a new Amphicar project on New Years Day!! It's gonna be another custom.!
Where do you keep coming up with these? Did the finned Chrysler one get finished, and if so, is it seaworthy?
YES!! Check the link in any of my posts!!
Oh my! And you have a Hudson also!
Arnie, finzilla is awesome. Looking forward to seeing the Amphibaker progress.
were your ears ringing today?
freaking awesome i will follow this build unique stuff is the best
That's really cool!
Today I sectioned the hood & narrowed the grill section.
Way cool Tom!
Now that looks like some fun stuff!
I have always wanted one, as weird as it may be . When I was a kid, I would see one sitting all abandoned and lonely in the brush as I dreamed from the school bus window.
Spent this weekend trimming the fins & mocking them up. Long ways to go yet!!
All I can say is
I love it.
Damn where do you even find an amphicar these days? I've never seen one for sale except maybe in hemmings
I got this one for hauling it away!! Happy New Year to me!!
Tom - You are a sick man! That's just another reason to love ya! You have an eye for the unique, and that is a true gift my friend!
That's going to be the coolest looking Amphicar out there. Can't wait to see more pics
a custom amphicar? that is pretty wild and will be cool as hell!
I want to know...what are you eating just before you go to bed to give you this kind of dream?
With '61 Imperial fins, if it stalls in the water, at least they'll catch the wind and let it blow you back to shore.
Crazy combo. Hurry up! When's the christening? Gary
Arnie - why????? Is a standard one not weird enough for you?
I presume you know of this one sat on a live in barge on the Seine in Paris. I've been going to Retromobile for 20 years and have seen it every year since for many years.
It belongs to a French architect, it's a 64 and he uses it regularly - there are some pictures of it going around Etoile.
I'm diggin' it. I too have a thing for the unusual stuff. I always wanted an Amphicar.
I love those Amphicars!! I have always wanted 1 but just can't see spending that much on one. Those that you have built and are building are truely awesome!! Keep us posted on the progress. Will you have it done before Symco, if your going. I would love to see it in person!
Proably gonna be 3 years! Sorry, Arnie
