what a great find good luck with this project

  2. Yeah.....some of you guys are so damned talented that I almost want to go back to bicycles.....and Lincoln Logs. It's amazing what someone can do, starting with so little to work with. Then again, that wouldn't apply to the skills here. Little in material start......but overflowing in the precise talent needed to get ya' there. Hats off please.

Man, this is amazing considering what you started with. My hat is off to you for your determination to bring this car back to life. As for the '33, why not make it into a sedan delivery? Theres enough material there to make the doors longer and you definitely have the metal skills. Maybe I ought to Photoshop it...

Not my favorite style but, I finally took the plunge on some front wheels for "jigsaw".
They are coming all the way from Canada, he has a cool rotofaze, hemi manifold and rear wheels but not for me.
Now I just have to "patina" them.

  5. May be a good time to revisit post #7..........go back to the AACA board and show off your new avatar, and some pics of the 40 now. Never more appropriate I think. Archie Bunker would do it!

    [IMG]Hey there guys......remember me....and the Willys???

I had the chrome stripped off of the chopped rear garnish set and made one complete garnish out of them.
Big thanks to Clark in Pa. for help on the garnish set.

  11. Is that one steel? I think that's fiberglass....but I could be wrong. Looks good though.....

  12. I believe it is glass. It was very high end though. Very wide rear tires and paint was great. I liked it.

    Good luck with the build!

    Making headers sucks!

As soon as headers are done it will finally go to the paint shop.

My car is headed for body and paint on monday and I have NO idea what color to choose. I would appreciate anybody's opinion.

The paint guy had a few cans of House of Color pearl paints and they look nice but I worry that it'll be a little over the top.

  17. I like black, black, and black. Just black.....but would probably like candies, flakes, pearls, and whatever the hell you pick. I can't even think of a bad choice. I know you'll make us wait tho'. Congrats' man.

Here are a few ideas, Honduras Maroon, Nassau Blue, Lemans Blue or Hugger Orange. I also posted a Bronze one on the 37-42 willys thread that was the Airoso Brothers car. I don't know the color but it looks good. It's toward the end of the thread.

I would love an evil skeleton shifting or something cool 60's style pin striped on the side.

    Anyone have any ideas?

Definitely a middle finger on the olds pumpkin!

Here's another one that was a local car in the '60s. Won at Indy once or twice I believe.
