I can't tell you how good that sounds coming from the King of Hot Rods!! Thanks to all for the great comments, it's been like pushing a boulder up a hill with a toothpick but she will see the track lights soon.
Hey Jeff that Willys looks perfect what a transformation from what you started with so Koooooool.cheers Wayne
Installed the Hemi in my 40 willys coupe but I feel like it needs to go back about 2-3 inches. Mounted trunk lid as well. I have the trunk support arm but haven't mounted that yet.
I missed this thread in the beginning somehow, but WOW! From this: to this: is nothing short of amazing, you're Batman! Really great work!
What an AMAZING save! I'm blown away. I love seeing cars come back from the dead. That's what this hobby is all about.
Added a floor and wheelie bars today. I hated the way I installed panel under the rear window so Lee made me a new one, lets see if I can do better the second time around.
Hello Drumyn29, Totally Awesome! Living here in SD makes it hard to find that dream Willy's but i did it is a 38 all steel factory 2 dr sedan. I thought when i found mine that the torn fenders and rust in the floors is it really worth all the work i am going to have in it, but yes it is the more i read and see what people do to make the dream Willy's theirs, it is worth the time. Nice work and totally nice car from what you had to start with. Enjoy and have fun.
Give lee kay a call if you need metal, he's affordable and fast and DAMN talented! Best of luck on yours and if you need anything feel free to reach out to me and i'll help you anyway that I can.
Got a few new parts for the 1940 willys coupe. Since my heads are Donovan I will probably stick with my Donovan rockers and maybe keep the Mickey Thompson's off to the side for emergency's.
