Also repaired the tack strip channel which required a little cutting and reshaping. I plan to do a louvered insert for the roof opening which will be removable.

That rear roof line turned out great. Nice lean at the rear.

i didn't think it would be that tough of a job. Man, was I wrong! Theres alot of cutting and welding to get the contours right! The inside channel was rotted out so i had to fab a new piece for it. The door gap at the front was adjusted and metal was added to correct it. The A pillar will get some lead in the low spot to make the gap consistent. I also finshed welding in the lower door patch panel.

Been watching your excellent work. I especially like your reshaping of the window openings and the roof drip line. I'm going to be going through the same thing making a '33 willys sedan into a coupe. The drip lines look much alike. Thanks for the inspiration.

Looks good Man! Quick heads up, judjing by some of your pics you may need to narrow your b piller on the back side to get you quarter window garnish in. I cheated on mine and only narrowed half the post.

    Soooo cool!!!

Did you use the rear window or the b-pillar as a reference point for the location of the roof?

Thanks Norm! 33 Willys is one my favorites! Be sure to post it when you start your build, love to see it!

    Thanks much!

Hey Brad! Thanks for the compliment and the heads up! I did see the thinning of the b pillar for the garnish mouldings on Andys thread. I don't have any good garnishes for a 33 so I'm going to make a set from scratch that should work without messing with the b pillar. Keep up the great work on your build!

Kind of used both. Once the cowl, doors and b pillar were set,I then got the tailpan and 1/4s roughed in. Once the decklid and top panel were in place, this established where the back window would be. Centered the rear window and positioned the roof over everything and cut it down carefully until I got the proportions right. Kinda like building a bridge from both sides and meeting in the middle. Make sense I hope! Thanks, George
