Come-on what about the great movie Corba??? The Merc(s) were a bit modern with the gun metal grey that was popul.ar at the time. And they only went through what? Four or five of them??

Modern movies with old settings or modern settings? Not many Mercs in modern settings.
What about stock Mercs?
Jersey Boys--- '51 Merc in wedding scene in front of church.
October Sky---- parents had a '51 Merc 4dr.

 

Most modern movies that feature Mercs tend to miss the boat on car selection.One of my all time favorites is " Running Wild" which featured The Hirohata Merc and Fred Rowes Merc,although not modern,I'll sneak it in

I don't think thats Sam's 1949 Mercury. Looks like the Ayala/Bettancourt 1949 Mercury which the Barris shop did complete. Or perhaps Barry Mazza's clone ?

 

Not a modern movie ... but there was a custom Merc in a (circa 2002) "boy band" music video:

Considering @Jive-Bomber (Jay Ward) is considered the "Cars" franchise guardian at PIXAR ... I'm pretty sure already has "SHERIFF" in his garage.

Is it me, or does that song just not go with that video?
Let's take a syrupy boy band and have them sing a sullen love sick ballad and dress them like hoodlums and put hot rods in the video. Hmmmm. Genius, I tell ya!

 

^ The worst part of that video is seeing the driver's side windows down on the Impala and thinking about what all the rain coming down is doing to it. I wonder if the owner knew they were going to be doing that.
