Discussion in 'The Hokey Ass Message Board' started by andyg, Jan 16, 2011.

  1. Ha! Thanks Andy . I'll tell you what, I'll give you $15K and the '54 for the roadster! Huh? Huh? Waddaya think? Let me know :D.
PS, that pic of your girl and her mom is awesome.

  2. I would say you could sell that car all day long for 25k... even in todays shitty car market.

i think it would be priced at about 35,000.00 at the l.a. roadster swap meet and would be gone within the first 30 minutes if not coming in the gate. possibly 40,000.00 would slow up the buyers but who knows. ill trade you a killer early 5 window for it!

  9. Ha, I'm enjoying all the old threads popping up lately.
    Remember this from 2011.
I wonder if the banker ever got to read it.

To me your 32 has got to be worth 30K or more - but I can understand how a banker would not believe that figure. Maybe this thread will educate him/her - and the other bankers out there! How did it turn out for you?

  11. Good eye, I didn't even notice ... thank goodness I had nothing to add lol

So REALLY, you are just pulling our chains so you can get all this glory, for how well you are in this car, Right? I read it and feel now I wasted my time, doubt if story is even true, but it sure stirred up the nest !!!

Yes this is a very old thread and no it was not a joke or made up story. I needed 7000 more than what I had for a different investment that had a very nice return. I ended up not making that particular investment and never did borrow money against the car. Banker did get an education though!

  16. shit, I was thinking " man I would loan out the money on that car"
I wonder how many people would take up a person who loaned out money only on old cars?

  17. This thread made my day. I can imagine Mr. World Banker looking out in the parking lot now.....lol

I tried to get my local insurance agent to wrte a policy on my roadster. I was asking for way less than value but they were not jumping on it. They thought I was crazy and I though they were. I got a policy from Haggrity.
