A few more parts in place. Dug into the brakes, they were worse than I was hoping for so complete rebuild of everything there. Inside of the drivers door is now painted. Moving on to the door jams soon, maybe today. Master cyl mounted up on the firewall. Yup, good day yesterday. 10478434_450437935122643_8048835963048663689_n.jpg 11260360_450560401777063_7340552743282623533_n.jpg 11329895_450560415110395_6387221480262464053_n.jpg 11351306_450560391777064_6858570166450479868_n.jpg 11251880_450437985122638_8382876641921245657_n.jpg

Support from the youngster, the next generation of hot rodders. These are @BCCHOPIT s boys. Bill, who is WAC Customs built the Canned Monster axle for us. Even says WAC on the artwork.

Nice! I love the sound of a Y-block with glass packs.

  14. Lookin' real good in there. The cream of the engine goes great with the red and the black valve covers give just a nice touch of contrast

  15. You are making me want to go through my 292, Lance. Mine is about worn out! Both of yours look great!

Thank you guys, is has been a lot of fun working through ideas with Tim and others on the look and feel of the truck build. I'm happy to be bolting parts back on. Just picked up all my drums tonight from getting turned. They all cleaned up very nice. One last brake part should be in on thursday so I'm hoping by the end of the weekend the brakes will be completely done. Thats the goal anyway.

Pan getting notched today to we can steer the car, which is a good thing. I know it only needs to go straight but having steering capabilities is a good thing... 10670277_10150529137669946_1469805813294828774_n.jpg 11407193_10150529142849946_5881330811983286222_n.jpg

Pulleys.png Spent part of yesterday sorting out my brackets to I can upgrade to an alternator. I think I have it sorted now. Need to get the fan painted and I can get it all assembled. Then hook up the radiator and I'm very close to firing up the Monster Hauler.

Fan is now painted for the Monster Hauler. Now I can assemble the brackets, pulleys and install the belt. Button it all up and then get the radiator in place. Very close to firing it up. 10457920_461230064043430_490267687805604737_n.jpg

The Monster Hauler lives. Successful break in of the motor on Saturday. Ran for 10 minutes. Couple of super minor water leaks and thats it. Temp after ten minutes was 165. Sound really wicked thanks to @mctim64 putting in some sort of a race cam. Man o man, can't wait to get video of it. Now to finish the brakes and start getting it back together for paint.

Some updates on the Monster Hauler. Trans is painted and ready to go in. Had to order a new throw out bearing which came in today. Some exhaust parts just arrived and my driveline was just picked up after getting all rebuilt. The shop did a very nice job. Very happy and the price was fair, which is a bonus. Should have it all installed by next weekend. Will be moving under its own power very soon. Also got my wheels cleaned up. Now to prep for paint.
