i like the 3 window more than the 5 window as well. the 5 window looks too busy in my opinion.

I want to keep this going. I have a 53 3-window I am doing and this gives me inspiration to keep going. I definately prefer the 3-windows! Your truck looks amazing so far. Keep the good stuff coming.

Thanx Jeff, I'm happy you like my project. About the closure of the corner glass I did all the work so that if one day you decide to go back to 5 windows this is possible with little work. I have not destroyed the structure so you can return in their original 5-window. Jeff, go on with your project, I'd like to see your work on it.:)

Me too. My '59 Chevy was my 1st truck, and it has the small back window. I always wished it had the optional wrap-around rear window. Well, years later my dad bought a '57 deluxe cap pickup with the wrap-around rear glass. I did not like driving that thing, especially at night...way too much rear window in that truck. Headlight glare from the rear would fully illuminate the cab's interior.

Made me really appreciate my basic plain jane 59.

Great job on your '53

I had never thought of this. I have never driven my truck at night but I think you're right. The glare was too much inside the cab with glass corner. Thanx tjet:)

As an only-vehicle-daily-driver I have to agree with both of your observations concerning night driving. I just like the three window better.

Keep up the fine quality work on the '53!

    Greenhouse effect? <grin>,

I wanted a 5 window for years until I drove one, then I felt like I was in a fishbowl, building a 3 window now.

:) I am really pleased that many of you share my choice of closing the corner glass. Here in Italy there are cab with 3 windows for replacement and the only way to have
3 windows is buy in U.S. but this choice would be too expensive.
If I lived in U.S. I never would have approached this work to close the corner glass.

Many thanx to all and sorry for my english :)

Very nice work so far. Good to see no corners being cut and such attention to detail. Keep up the good work.

Nice build. Love what you did with the front fenders, that drives me nuts on my truck too.
