I wet sanded the finished areas of cab and doors and re-cleared them today...not as good as I wanted it to be but nothing some cutting n polishing wont fix, atleast there is plenty of clear!

You move fast, it took me 4 years to get mine on the road. Good job and color choice too. I love these old water melon nosed trucks.

Todays project is to get body work done on the outside of bed sides and get ready to prime it. Im not doing much more then heavy prime to block out as smooth as it can get on the inside. Im using the truck as a daily truck so perfect finished inner panels doesnt make sense to me!

I replaced some rust with a new peice if metel on front bed panel insted of buying a new one. I covered all my welding with glass before mud on all the welding everywhere. Not the prettiest but itll look fine between the cab n bed.

Looks great and i like the color as well.I have watched this build since the start and like the way you did it.I straightened my 50 3 windows bed the way you did .Pretty nice but not flawless on the inner panels.I didnt even try to fix the dents that are covered from the outside by the fenders .I finished mine in $35 worth of Blitz Black though and im kinda glad i did now.I have only had it on the road about 6 weeks and i already have sum nice scrapes on both sides from A-Holes opening their doors into it in parking lots ,Alley Cats have scratched the hood climbing on it ,etc .Looking forward to seeing you 51 completed :)...

Thanx, I want to be able to take and park it anywhere. If a fender gets banged up I can pull it off n fix it...no big deal. Other then the exterior finish its all rustoleum (I already have one car to worry about, dont want another)! The bed has such a small amount of exposed surface it will be quick to dial in today. I want to be able to not worry about what goes in the back..the dents inside didnt bother me before...so they wont now!

HMM, wonder why your tank is different then mine? I was told that I had to remove the spare tire mount, but it loose like it would of fit just like yours did. It even has a flange across the back of the tank where I would have bolted it onto the crossmember.

Also I need those spring clamps you have on you leaf springs, where'd you get em?

The springs came in a complete kit for the truck out of summit (CPP), The crossmember does stay but I believe they mean just the tire and mount hardware have to go...not the frame section. Some of the tanks are dif but mine fit in there perfect with the rear crossmember and with the shock tower that came with rear suspension kit.

Awesome! Looks great man! Very motivational!

What's the black you used INSIDE the cab?? Is that Lizard Skin, or something? I can't remember if you told me what you were going to use for that...
