I've seen plenty of "how to" chops on the internet, but never one as detailed and clean as this.....that car must have been parked up in air tight box since 1933.... It is perfect.Your workmanship and attention to detail is a credit to you, thanks for posting.

all the wood and the opening stampings [which I assume you will cut out when you fill the roof] would help someone who is unfilling they're roof.

I have seen a lot of chops on sedans but never one as detailed and perfect as this one. No stone was left unturned. Fantastic metal shaping skills displayed on the process.

  24. Sure a lot more to doing a correct chop than I ever realized.

  25. Superb detail work man. Metal finishing is one thing, but to incorporate trained eyes and imagination with it....is lost with most. That is beautiful. I can't imagine what the cost SHOULD BE.....but to show your client the difference in your chop and some other.....should be enough of a stimulus to hopefully tip well too. Labor hours on custom fab here is 60 to 80 bucks an hour....with great helpings of bondo to facilitate beauty. I'm thinking you are hopefully a flate price guy. Gorgeous job!

  26. It is turning out killer! Thanks for sharing with us every step of the chop to help educate others.

When we chop windshield frames we just cut the bottom off at the correct angle. Why did you do the cut-n-weld in four places?

the aftermarket frame was already cut previously.I would normally do 2 cuts.
