I'd like to talk to an old member of Sagittariuns. I've never heard of them, before this coupe came around.

I need to! The color has been decided upon for the interior and the body.. I ain't tellin' though!

Readers digest version: Jim called me, we went and picked up the frame, and brought it home from the painters. I like the color.. we all do!

Now in 'Colorvision'

 

I like it!

 

JJ's pictures were taken in 100% bright sun which brought out the blue and faded out the gray. In lower light it is half blue and half gray. Phil the painter really nailed the color - 1941 Ford Florentine blue.
The nailhead will be black, as will the upholstery, with piping of body color, if we can find it.

 

Off to the strippers! That's always fun.. expensive, but fun

Hi,I am interested in the weld on bosses with the taper and threads.Did you make those?

The floorboard bosses were made by Al Simon who you might remember from "The American Hot Rod" TV show. I don't have the car at home to measure them, but I think they are 1/2" round stock, drilled and threaded for 12-24 threads and countersunk. When you tighten the flat head screw into the boss, it forms the countersink in the metal floor. Very nice way to attach a flat sheetmetal floor.

This last Tuesday, we picked up the body from the blasters. Delivered it straight to the paint shop.

Picked up the body, hood pcs, grille and deck lid, today. Nice!
