I know the '34 cab has an extra body line across the back but they all look the same...... are they interchangable?
32 firewall is a separate part. 33-4 the firewall is fixed. You can interchange other parts. Hoods are different. 32 gas tank is under the seat. 33-4 the tank is under rear of the bed. All I can remember
32s have different dashes, a gauge tunnel, and can have different roofs. These are some easy to spot specifics.
32 roof is welded on, 33-34 it is bolted on. 34 has the wide extra body line on the back of the cab. There may be some difference in the body lines on the doors. Looked at a 32 a while ago and it had one door that was changed out, the depth of the body lines were different. Cowl feet are different for 33-34.
I learned a bunch of what you said today at a show I was in. I had my '34 there, and there was a '33 as well. What you said here is spot on.
Wooster, Since nobody has asked I will, are you talking about a restoration or a HAMB car when you say interchangeable, big difference? Charlie Stephens
I built me first 32 pus using 33 cabs. Unless you opened the hood no one knew. The late 32 and 33 cabs have the same roof.
I used a '34 cab on a '32 frame. I did drill the spot welds and move the firewall back a little even with a flathead.
