Met him @ indy goodguys in 02....after we power parked in the pros pick area. Seemed really appreciative of where he was at. And had a non rockstar attitude about him. Even doodled on the car

Never met him, but just seeing him on TV, he has always come off to me as a super nice guy and someone who really cares about what he is doing and has the talent to back it up. He is either that way or one hell of an actor. Either way, a very rare breed on TV, that's for sure.

He takes a lot of flack here on the hamb because of the style he builds, but he is an incredible talent and I have never heard one bad thing about the guy. He is the reason why I got into Industrial design.

I saw him at he SRN's in Louisville a few years back. He took the time to meet and talk with everyone who wanted to. I just stood back and watched him interact with fans and grew to have a great deal of respect for him. He's just one of us, only with much deeper pockets!

My wife watches his show all the time. She is a tradition hot rod gal but enjoys the hell out watching him and his team kick ass. We also love the NO drama part of the show. The guy is one great talent "nuf sed".

We all have different likes and dislikes in this hobby, and maybe his designs don't fit this particular forum, but I don't think there are many out there with the broad spectrum of talent this man has. He pretty much does it all, from bodywork, to fabrication, to painting, to striping, to EVERYTHING !

As mentioned, he is also a down to earth, extremely nice man. I have seen him at shows spending as much time with each fan as they want and always acting as if they have been friends forever. When you see him tear up on Overhaulin' over some emotional thing, it is the real deal. He is a caring human being who goes out of his way to be polite with no yelling or drama toward his "A Team." I respect the hell out of Chip Foose as a talent and as a man.

It was nice to see his Son (Brady, I think) on the one show with him, with Chip guiding him along and letting him pinstripe a car and help out. His Dad did that for Chip and Chip is passing the torch to his Son. Chips Dad did a fantastic job in raising him and it shows.

He is on my list of people I would love to sit down and have a beer with and shoot the breeze.

I met him years ago in 2003 in Seattle with Wes Rydell just after The Grand Master won the Ridler award. Chip was just on the verge of become well known outside of the car hobby & was able to walk around the show without to many people noticing him. He [FONT=&quot] would shake hand & talk to anyone who [/FONT][FONT=&quot]approached him then and seemed to genuinely enjoy talking & listening to everyone.

He is a real class act as well as amazingly talented!

I have had the pleasure of taking a class from Mr. Winfield but not met Chip yet.

Met Chip at SEMA a few years ago though I didn't get a chance to have much of a conversation I did gain a lot of respect for him. He is a genuinely nice guy and his talent speaks for itself.

Chip is definitely good hearted and it comes through in every show or interview I have ever seen.

It amazes me that he ever worked for Boyd Coddington,,he wasn't known for having the cheeriest of personality's. HRP

I tell ya what, if my wife suddenly got the urge to send one of my Dodge pickups or my Coronet to Foose for a little "Overhaulin'!", I'd have zero objections to that! His work is really amazing. A while back, I got to see one of his cars from his show at a car show in Dallas, and it was exceptional!

Been a fan of him and his Dad's for years. I love how much he loves his family. You can tell how much his Dad and his son mean to him. He gets so emotional when he talks about them. Love that. Nice article.

I think it is unfair that celebrities often get judged on 3 minutes or less of interaction with people.

Having said that, my three minutes of time with Chip left me thinking he is pretty much a genuinely nice person. His talent speaks for itself.

His dad on the other hand... Seemed like he was just on ornery old SOB and pulled the, "Do you know who I am?" card. It was funny that he didn't say he was Sam Foose. He said he was Chips dad. I don't care who you are, don't touch the car unless you are invited to.
