Projects 1952 Chevy 3100 spare tire carrier

Discussion in 'The Hokey Ass Message Board' started by DBCooper, Aug 15, 2014.

  1. Seems the swing out carriers are a bit hard to come by....Brothers wants $295. FYI, today I found this on a 1979 F150 in a buddy's backyard. Didn't even have to drill any new holes. Just have it mocked up and it appears to be a great fit. Got to be a ton of F150's out in the pick-n-pulls.....got this for free.

Mucho Grassass for the post. I am missing the O.G. carrier and was wondering how to mount a spare tire under the truck without having to spend a small fortune.
    Thanks again.

There is a build thread shows how a guy used one of those ford exploder crank up and down units on a older chevy when I figure out where I seen it (it is here on the hamb) I will post a link or some info on it for you all .....
