Does anyone know the correct format for a 1947 International VIN/Serial number, whatever the case may be?

    Thanks

Your vin will be stamped on the driverside frame rail just in front of the front axle, it would start as KB1-serial numbers, like KB1-25435 or something like that, IH started the model serial number at 501 with every new model. On the KB the vin tag would be mounted on the upper firewall in the engine compartment where earlier K's where on the driverside kick panel inside the cab. On the KB tag it will have a model box where KB-1 would be and chassis number box where you vin number would be. Hope this helps. There was around 22,000 KB1's built in 1947 between the 2 plants.
