Read an old post / thread by BAILEIGH INC, Jul 7, 2014 regarding using 16" X 4" stock rims with 750 tires. Even though tire sellers tell people you need a minimum 5" wide rim the consensus was most guys do it all the time. Didn't see anything in the post about spacing the rims out a bit to get a wider stance & a more aggressive look? On my '35 Tudor Slant it appears after measuring the 650's on it from widest point on the face I could space them out 2". Can't be much different for the 750's?
    Thoughts?

Not 750's but I run 550's up front on 16X4 Kelsey Hayes and 700's on 16X4.5 Kelsey Hayes rears - I have very tight clearance on the rears - really fill up the fenders for sure - I have a stock body and frame PETER_MARTIN_001.jpg .

Blown35 it looks great! No spacers required for that look? My 600's are set in 2.5" from fender faces.

No spacers - stock Kelsey Hayes wheels and 35 Ford brake drums - has original vintage Lincoln brakes.

Kind of on the subject, what's the cost gonna be to mount & balance per tire with tubes?

After much measuring, research & disscussion on here & The Ham I bought a set of 215/85/16 for rear (close to 750/16 bit wider 1" on cross section)) and 205/55/16 for front (close to 550/16 but wider about same as rears). Paid an extra $10 on line for free shipping back, JIC but am 99% sure the rears will and 100% sure on fronts. Excersise was to get a reasonable cost and have modern radials with the stance /look of the 550's on front & 750's on rear, plus get the benefit of the 750,s for better hi way gears.
Will report back And show pics when installed

Not sure why but lost verbiage. Sorryt bout the pic's, will get some better shots tomorrow. Thought the profile shot was pretty good when viewed full size. Looked great on my screen. Of-course I know what it looks like, :)
215/86/16 rears (1/2" shorter than 750-16, tread 1.7" wider), 195/75/16 fronts ( 1" taller than 550-16, 1.5" wider). Fronts and rears went easily on the 4" rims, went without tubes. Comparing to the 650-16 Bias'd that were on originally the ride is much more comfortable, handeling is much improved and steering is slightly easier at slow speeds and while not moving and much improved above 25MPH.

  16. for balancing use dyn- beads on time & done. I run them on my 34 roadster with bias tubes & 650X16 tires
