Can anyone tell me if there is a piece of sheet metal behind the grill shell and in between the 2 front fenders on my sedan? All I have is a grill shell and the 2 front fenders. I have seen some pictures of some cars and there looks like there is something behind the grill shell and in between the 2 front fenders. Please help! Mike
Yes, there is a piece that attaches to the bottom of the grille and flows upward to the bottom of the radiator. I could take a picture tomorrow if you need it. Mine is all apart and the grille is at the blaster right now, but I have the other piece. The piece has louvers on each side of the crank hole. Mine was rough around the crank hole, so I filled it. I think there is even a second piece behind there. I'll dig through my stuff tomorrow.
as already said , yes there is a piece....if you look close in this picture you can see that louvered panel behind the grille. in my opinion , `35's look stupid without them `36's have a similar piece
Yes, the louvered panel bolts to the bottom of the grill and to the sides. Fills in the area below the radiator.
Mine was so thrashed that I had to get another one. Wescott has them but they are fiberglass.....but what the hell, you can't tell anyway.
WOW! Thanks guy's! I really appreciate this. Does anybody have one that they would like to sale or know where one is available? Mike
Here's the panel. Mine was pretty tough....all tore out around the crank hole. After seeing them go for around $150 on ebay I decided to patch mine up. There's no crank hole any more, but I don't plan on cranking it over anyway. And painted satin black, it won't be that noticable. There's no crank hole in my grille any more either.
