I have for sale an old homemade hot rod project which was built using plans published in the November 1951 issue of Mechanix Illustrated. I assume that this was built in early 1952. The chassis and running gear is 1935/6 Ford. Frame has been sandblasted. It has a later, 1949 8BA flathead V8. Hydraulic brakes all the way around. Chopped nose grill from a 38/39 Ford pick up. Top bows work. Doors open and latch. Side curtains for patterns. There are front and rear fenders and all the attaching brackets including a cool early license plate bracket and light. Steering box, shaft and column and pedals, I assume '35/36 Ford. I found this all in a pile in a barn last winter. I dragged it home and bolted it together. This is parts. A project. A rare, historical piece of American ingenuity. Located in the middle of New York state. Hubbardsville, 13355. $3,800.00. obo. [email protected]. 315-749-4649. Thanks. John
Some kid built this in 1952. Good start for a fun old skool project. Cool nose, cool details. Good '49 Ford flathead, '35 transmission, rear and front ends. Rolls and is the basics of a fun "genuine" old hot rod project. Cheap, make an offer and roll it on your trailer.
Built back in the day. Somebody could make something very cool out of this. Good motor, trans, rear end, hydraulic break backing plates. Chopped '38 truck nose. etc. 315-749-4649.
