It was a metallic blue-silver color. Here's a few pics. There's also some footage of it on the Jackson Bros Gasser Files video.

Has anyone ever been involved with a 33 coupe that had the bottom of the cowl cut for clearance or access to the front 4 link bolts? I am sending pics of each side for clues, in which you can see faint signs of the old multi-color graphics. Jim Kirby told me that he built this car #13-14 or so, but I have come up with a dead end at it's time in Memphis area. It is a 4" chopped steel body with light steel doors zolotoned inside. The fiberglass fenders, front group with tube framework, and full-length decklid w/tirewell are probably Kirby parts. It is a rectangular tube chassis car with angled coilovers connected to an 8 3/4 Chrysler rear. The aluminum interior has left hand steering, but has a somewhat centered seat. It is a very interesting car, which goes straight and will recover from driver error. Any help filling in the blanks of this car's history greatly appreciated.

How about any gasser guys from Tennessee, any input on a white Willys with red, orange, and yellow trim? Thanks, Rob Frazier

    Paul:

Which thread did you find those Steve McGee shots on? Those look like some rare pics from Van Isle Dragway up in BC Canada.

Some unknown history of Ohio George's 33. See the wheel standing photo's in the previous post. That's not a clone of the famous Willy's. In 1970 John Amacher of Winchester Tenn. purchased George's Willys less the Ford SOHC. John set-up it up to run C gas with a small block Hilborn injected Chevy. He ran it in the mid-south and was right on the National record. He later sold it to a Sears executive and as is well know Ohio George's family repurchased it and it now in the Henry Ford Museum . I was a crew member on John's car. John was killed a few years after that in a Pro Stock Vega. He was a great guy.

I love the way the gassers look, but i can not go past a 33 or 34 when it sits just right and the wheels fill the fenders, they look awesome. :D

Would love to see larger pictures of your coupe if possible Blacktop VooDoo.
