These two significant 1932 Ford Hotrods being offered from a significant private collection owned by one of the country's premier hot rod collectors. The 1932 5 Window Coupe is an original, all Henry Ford steel body that has been channeled on an original, 1932 Ford frame. It is powered by a nailhead Buick engine with three deuces which is coupled to a four-speed Ford transmission, a 9" Ford rear end and Franklin-style center steering. The car was built around 2006 by Clark Bates from the reknown the So-What Speed Shop and has been seen at Bonneville as well as featured in print publications including Rolls and Pleats Magazine. The body is original with old patch panels and repairs. It is un-chopped and still has the original roof insert, doors, dashboard and deck lid. The interior is two metal bucket seats. It glass in the windshield and in the rear, but not in the doors. The hood has 1932 Chevrolet side panels and the front of the car has a rare set of Electroline headlights. The car was built to be driven and has been actively enjoyed since the build was completed. Mechanically, it needs nothing and is ready for many more miles of fun driving. This is a turn-key car that handles well and is a pleasure to drive. The 1932 Phaeton was built on an original 1932 Ford frame and the fiberglass body is one of a very few built by Wescott in the 1980s or 1990s. The car was built around 2005. It is powered by a 350 Chevrolet engine and automatic transmission, a 9" Ford rear end and center-mounted, Franklin-style steering. The engine has been disguised with Oldsmobile Rocket valve covers and a 1930s Ford hubcap as an air cleaner. This car has been a regular fixture at Bonneville during recent years and was used as the shuttle vehicle for the owner and his race team back and forth from Wendover to the Salt Flats. Like the coupe, is a turn-key, fun and reliable driving car that is ready to use and enjoy. The interior is bare bones and basic with seat cushions and back rests in both the front and rear and a tonneau cover over the rear section. It has been featured in hot rod magazines such as Hop Up and is a well known car amongst those in the traditional hot rod scene. Both cars have clear and current titles are priced at 35,000.00 EACH which is far less than the build costs and far less than you could build one for. They are located near Madison, Wisconsin.
