A friend of mine is installing an inline six Chevy 250 engine in this cool old homemade speedster. Has been in long term storage and the engine runs but parts are hard to get, it's low on horsepower, and how reliable would it be in modern traffic? The car will retain it's historic look but under the hood will boast the Chevy engine, dual carbs, split manifold, and powerglide tranny. Has the monocle style windshield too. Watch for it on the highway later this spring.
Yeah, it has 3 pedals now, but soon to be automatic. Customer is an older couple who don't want to shift. Wait until you get stiff with arthritis Jay. You young whppersnapper.
It's been years, but if the owner of the Chandler ever checks this forum, I'd love to buy the motor you took out of the car so I have a spare for my 1925 Touring Sedan. [email protected]
Funny I should stumble on this, since I just found the eBay listing the other day... http://www.ebay.com/itm/322203881874?forcerRptr=true&item=322203881874&viewitem
That's cool they can drive and enjoy the car again . Its not setting and not being enjoyed. Plus the engine color matches the bucket seats .
