I started building this T about A year and a half ago. Lots more work to do but here are some specs and pics:

    1926 roadster body
TT truck frame contoured to match the body.
Rear part of the frame turns into the subframe of the turtle deck.
    Flathead V8 engine
17" knockoff Dayton wire wheels in front.
18" bent spoke wheels in the back.
    Whippet Radiator shell.

Looks very cool. Tell us more.

I'm looking at it more, and see that your rails line up with the body. I guess by saying you 'contoured the frame' you mean you widened it and pie cut it. I'd love to see pics of the frame alone and how you built it.

Mike.....I remember the build and was wondering what happened to it.

Good to see your back on it.... The hood kicks ass, love the wide center strip... Good eye.

Thanks Pete! I stopped when I built the Gerber Special. I'm moving into a new, well new to me shop and progress will be slow for a while.

And another, the frame kick up/c-notch turns in to the subframe for the turtle deck. One of my favorite parts of the car

Stance and proportions are are right on the money!

I'd like to see more about those hand formed louvers...

  19. What a beauty. How you do those louvers?? You make your own hand punch??

I started with a Model TT truck frame and yes pie cut and contoured to match the body. If I did it again I would use heat to bend/drink the metal to bend it.
