I'm hesitant to post this, as I hate to be interviewed in front of a camera.. but what the hell. A couple weeks ago I drag raced again at our local 1/8th mile track. It was a Head up No Prep event that is very well attended and I registered for the Stick Shift class. There are some VERY fast cars that race at these events. I just go for fun and don't ever expect to make it very far. We draw numbers to determine who we race against and this time I got pretty lucky and made it to the semifinals. 1320 Video is based in Omaha and has grown to have a huge following over the past 13 years. They do a lot of filming at events and street racing all over the country. They focused in on my roadster when they noticed I was beating some late model cars and put this video together. I had no idea they were going to do it, but it turned out pretty cool!
Wow - lots of fun - Congrats on doing so good - yep, shot of "classic" nitrous would have really been great - need to get some 8x10 glossys to autograph (Ha!)
You did pretty darn good. The ones who beat you would be pretty stiff to beat with a lot more motor in the A
Kickass Nickerbocker! That's great! That little car has come a long way and looks fantastic. See you next month!
Every aspect of your car and the build and how you drive the wheels off it are what it's all about!!! Congrats man!
Very nice. I'm going to seek you out next time and shake your hand. Good job. Sent from my iPhone using The H.A.M.B. mobile app
Awesome.......what gear are you running? Well I got some lap belts, cal tracs, helmet, for the 40. I need to find a pair of used drag slicks or drag radials. I registered for the HAMB drags, and will plan on Oct 1st at Humboldt, and end of September Spencer IA has their airport drags (330ft?). Should be fun to horse around.
Thanks a lot, guys! Next up is a road trip to Bonneville Speed Week, then the HAMB Drags. @Roadsir I'm running a 4.11 geared 9" with Ford trac lok. See you in Joplin!
Thanks! @51box Here's the Bangshift article that @WZ JUNK mentioned: http://bangshift.com/general-news/c...g-with-new-tricks-it-can-hold-its-own-nicely/
Yes! But I'd have to build an actual roll cage to be able to run. I don't want to go that far with this car. My next car will have a roof and roll cage required to run 10.99.
It looks like your not having any fun with that late model engine. Better swap it out for that Y-block you've been wanting...... Way cool.
Saw this on bangshift and thought that sure looks like Malcom's roadster but wasn't sure. Great running FORD power
