Moral of the story is, only look at porn on official porn pages...

was it literally a small box pop up, or a clone of the ebay sign in page? i can't remember what went on, but somethin fishy happened when i was scouring ebay for WWI stuff...

Thanks for the heads up Tingleberry. I get 4-5 emails a week from 'PayPal' telling me I need to confirm my user name and password.

Heads up on all that "Second Chance" auction BS too! I've gotten those offers a handful of times, ignored them, and within the hour recieved emails from the real eBay saying they were scams and to report them. Keep an eye out when cruising Craigslist as well...

  8. Noooo, if Tingler were a Perv, he'd write to tell us all how good "Brokeback Mountain" was...

Instead, he, like all red-blooded men, LIKES to look at naked women.
    Seems pretty normal to me...

Just a reminder, when you come across a fake ebay site, email it to ebay at [email protected]

Ever had Tingle Bingle ask you to talk dirty to him????

    Me either!;) :D

Wonder how the cowboy hat fits???

  11. Someone posted a link here to a similar auction,
it quickly opened a new window that looked exactly
like the ebay sign in page.

The address was only slightly different, and there was no
golden padlock in the bottom right hand corner.

You'd think ebay could figure out a way to block this crap.

Reported this to ebay. Hopefully this way they will disable the code which causes a pop-up to appear when you click on an auction, along with suspend this nasty seller.
Thanks for the heads up... never seen this one before.

Not all "second chance" offers are bull. I've sent them to the second highest bidder when the highest flaked before. Also, sellers with more than one of the same item will sometimes send them to the non winning bidders also. In that case it pays to not win the auction, cause you'll just pay your highest bid.

Although I was able to check the user's ID, he had a bunch of good feedback from buyers and sellers alike. He also had a bunch of car auctions listed with the same page transferring script..

like i said, it wasn't on the chevy auction that i saw somethin like this, so i hope i'm ok, nothin out of the ordinary, just an auction for a part to an M1903 springfield rifle. kinda obscure...

if we change our password and all that, we oughta be ok, right? dude can't start a new sale without current info, right?
