History Info to the 1950 Chevrolet of Hector Arevalo "Renegades C.C."

Good Morning to all
My name is David and I'm Italian.
Sometimes ago I purchased a 1950 Chevrolet Belair partially restored with documentation that places Hector Arevalo member of the "Renegades CC" and his win at the "Motorama" 1960.
I am finishing the restoration and the car hasn't the bumpers of those years and interiors aren't blacks and whites but totally red.But for the rest I have tried to rebuild it as in the past though with little news.
Anyone has news about Hector Arevalo or the Chevrolet and the history of this fantastic car or even photos??

I think he has a small ranch off greenwald in perris ca, but also has a place in mexico and spends most of his time there. I haven't seen or heard of him for at least 5 years.

I've always loved that car. It looks like you have done a nice job on it. It looks so much better than it did when it was still here in the USA. I really think you should put the bumpers back to how they were in the magazine article, though. That was a big part of its identity, and part of what made it so special.

 

thanks for your comment, you are right they are part of his identity, but I think it will stay that way for now!
I was considering to change the color of the roof and enrich the black with some small scallops as red interior with white little stripes

Iron Pumkin! I came across your post about Hector Arevalo! from the Renegades Car Club. I date his Daughter and to let you know he is alive and well! We came across your post while doing a sreach on him and he's Club. I now he has Pictures and would love to see the car now so if you can post some recent pictures that would be Great! But just so you know, he doesn't have a Computer but we will make sure he see's this

 

Hi Trigger,I'm David,I'm Italian and I'm very happy to know this news!!when I buy the Chevy near three year ago it was partially restored but not good!!
Today it is partially disassembled I have done a lot of work but for a problem of health in family I have stopped a work on it and I have decided to sell this!!
If things will improve and the car will not be sold next year return to work on it.
I'm very happy to saw that Hector is fine and he had a good health.
In these three years I have looked for more info possible!!
I have a lot of photo when it was in England a lot of years ago,painted in purple before the restoration in Black&White!!

 

I also found two Magazine that document the history of the car and its builder Hector!!
One is Custom Illustrated!!

 

And the other is Custom Cars!!!

 

It would be nice if Hector would be the photos of the CAR in the 60's.....
