Default Old Skool Rodz and the Fonz article, excellent!!!!!!

That Terry Cook article about the Fonz was great.
He was a man who espoused the shitty car before the shitty car became a thing to be admired.
Am I not mistaken in thinking that that article was actually first printed in the English Custom Car magazine back in the 80s?
Can any Limeys fill me in?
BTW, I just had the pleasure of having Surf Monkey and his wonderful family over at my pad. What a good guy and an amazing artist.
This is indeed a worldwide fraternity, may it long be so.

If you can't find one on the newsstand you can get one from HAMBer Side Valve at www.thehotrodcompany.com along with a lot of other cool mags.

lol!

I'm sure I wasn't taken seriously when I was calling all the Borders and B&Ns around here.

"Yes, the words 'Old,' School,' and 'Rods' are all spelled incorrectly. Do you have it??"

DrJ, it's not about the guy on TV, it's about Fonz Carloni the late builder of exceedingly radical, Bondo slathered Mercs from New Jersey.
I never met the man but I've heard about his legend.
I got to see one of his creations at Lead East a few years back. It was unlike anything I'd ever seen before.

Books a Million has it in Orlando.
I've never seen it a 7-11.
I have the hots for the tiny little Italian girl that works at the 7-11 by my work. I don't what it is about her, it's just something.

I just p/u the 2nd issue, and its real good. It beats all the others right now (except Rolls & Pleats).. I hate the name as well, but the mag is going in the right direction. Also has a good article about early juice brakes, which is something I wanted to know more about before I get into a project.. The high school hot rod is also way cool, wish I would have been doing that in high school instead of selling dope to the rich kids, and partying in Mexico.. Now I cant afford a $50. hot rod.. growing up sucks!!

Nads whats wrong with the Magic??

HOOLIGAN, yeah that juice brake article is way comprehensive, truly great work. I think it's by the same guy who wrote the carb article in issue one.

The Orlando Magic suck because of two words, John and Gabriel. He's the general manager, instead of firing coaches willy nilly, the real problem is that loser. He shoulda been fired years ago.

Nads
Yep there was an article on the Fonz in CC back in the 80s

I’m sorry but I think the mag sucks, have any of you read the editorial on the back page 1st issue?
It reads to me as if some one who is on the outside looking in wrote it.
It looks like a magazine publisher jumping on the bandwagon.
Ill still buy it for the pictures and the laugh I get from the writers comments.
Can’t beat CK Deluxe

Anyone got any pictures to post of his cars?

I've looked thru all my Custom car books and the name isn't indexed...
Is his "Fonz" nickname older than the TV version, maybe making the TV character a character of him?
Very curious is I.
