Is there a good paint or coating to paint whitewalls black?? Will they look like true blackwalls?? I have some new whitewall Firestones 7.00 and 4.50/4.75 x16" that now I would like to be black but don't want them to look painted on.. Any suggestions???
Find someone to swap them with, I'm sure there's someone out there who's looking to change to white walls sent via classroom note. pass it on
I bought a new pair of Radir slicks and had them black out the wide whites. They said they used a Dupont product and they look so good ,I cant tell which side is which. Ask them what it is. They were very helpful to me.
Find some 100% Acrylic black paint,I have used it in the past to get rid of white letter tires, the beauty of the 100% acrylic is it will expand and contract where a regular latex paint will crack and flake off. HRP
Two choices. Get some black vinyl dye and put on 2-3 light coats or go to a good auto paint supply store and have them mix up some low gloss flexible bumper paint and put it in spray cans.
we just use tire dressing , we used #7 tire black , it was made by Dupont then sold to Bordens ( the milk people) don't know who owns the formula now , but it works great on tires that get hot .
Turn the whitewalls in and paint them with Millers tire black. The reason I would turn them in is because the inside gets less wear from curbs and such. Here's a link. http://www.millertire.com/products/tire-supplies/paint/1-qt-black-tire-paint/
I really don't want to turn them in because they are different enough to not look good.. Some really good ideas so far.. Any more???
