alright alright alright so I was having a little fun with the photoshop, but here's the real deal, chopped 7 inches, started 4 and then just kept going down and down and down. Found some bedrails to brace it with. Waiting to get a new roof, for a section, aligned the pillars a little, don't like it too much like that. Top is just sittin on, been raining like heck, gets me depressed, specially having a garage too small to work in, but I'll get back to it sooner or later, enjoy.

I have no clue what my windshield will cost me, if it was just flat, I'd attempt it myself as I've heard of several ways, but since it's got that wicked curve I dunno. My windshield that came with the truck was so cracked it fell apart when I took it out and I had a replacement that somehow mysteriously got broken, hmmmm.... so when the time comes I'll let you know, anybody got any suggestions?

Been watching your progress cuz we have a 59 that we almost chopped a few years back. what changed our minds was a similar truck in a magazine, believe it was Classic Truck where this guy had an "expert" cut down his windsheild and it took something like 12 attempts to get it. These are brand new windsheilds mind you, and at a buck fifty or so it adds up. Going to look for that article later. Don't want to bum you out, your're at the point of no return now. You just might inspire us to break out the saws all if you whip that windsheild thang.

    Good luck man.

I have a 57 and considered doing a chop. I backed off when I looked at that glass.... Sumpin. makes me think that you've bit off a bit more than is chewable unless you've done previous such work..... I certainly wish you well, but I'm a skeptic... All the hard stuff is yet to do. Keep us posted as you progress..

I drove by and had a look...wow..you my friend have got some serious work ahead of you! Probably gonna have to run a lexan windshield or step up and have a custom glass made. You need to have Moochie come get a look and see what can be done to get this thing on the road again!
