Hey everyone. I see there are already a couple of threads with pics from the Grand National Roadster Show, but still thought I'd share mine. I think I might have a couple of cars that haven't been posted yet anyway. These were taken on Friday, I don't think the outside lot was as filled out yet.
Still more photos. I liked this Caddy. Not a huge fan of the 20" wheel thing, but the rest of the car looked great.
Every year when I go to this show I'm drawn to one car in particular. This year it was this car. Not sure why as this is not a color combo or paint scheme I would ever choose for my own car, but it was just so stunning in person I couldn't take my eyes off of it. I thought it deserved its own post, haha.

I just had to sneak a pic of this girl's hair. I talked to her for a minute, she was really nice and a very talented pin up photographer. Wanted to buy one of her calendars, but didnt' have any cash on me...does anyone know who she is???
Oh haha ok. Sorry Larry I know there are a lot of photos. I was going to direct img post them from photobucket but I figured then you'd have to wait all morning for the page to load.... ; )
The black one is James Hetfield from Metallica's ride. Not sure why I didnt' get a pic of the interior??? Too many great cars there, my head was spinning. I wish I had gotten more shots of the plaques in front of the cars too, so I'd know the name/specs. They had signs everywhere saying that if you entered the building, you were consenting to being filmed/photographed for a documentary, so I thought I'd turn the tables on them! muahahaha
Don't ask me why but I like seeing the half finished cars with stuff like steering wheels and gauges installed...the copper bumper is an interesting touch also though I'm sure that will be chromed eventually.
Loved the color on this El Camino....hope to one day paint my Cadillac that color with bigger flake, if I ever finish the sheetmetal work. Being a fan of the band Minor Threat I got a kick out of "Miner Threat"....though I'm sure the car predates the band by a decade or so....
Thanks everyone! I have a few more, but am having a problem getting them uploaded...not sure if hit a posting limit or something, but I will try again later.
Thanks for the great pictures. I was disappointed some after all day yesterday there but it just seemed that it was not as good as last years show..JMO..still good though. See what Sacramento brings this year.. I will be there for sure
Great set of pics. It was so crowded on Sat it was hard to get a decent shot of anything. Thanks for sharing! Posted using the Full Custom H.A.M.B. App!
Yeah my boss said he was disappointed too...though I think he said the same thing last year! haha. Last year we forgot to go into the lowrider building, which is one of my favorite attractions. I love looking at the metal flake paint, paneling etc. This year there weren't many lowriders in there, and it seemed like they had half the lights shut off for some reason.
Thanks again everyone! Ok gonna try again with this last set of pics. Not sure how the lowriders are gonna go over on this forum but again I just love the metal flake, crazy colors, paneling/lace, etc. If nothing else, you have to appreciate the artistry and sheer man-hours!
Thanks for sharing. I am too amazed on the attention to detail on the lowriders. The cost for materials alone has to be mind blowing. Hell just tape has to run about a mortgage payment.
