Wow, hope the guy in the car is alright. Why are there no stops/uprights at the end of the ramps?

  5. what is sticking up on the trailer? looks like the ramps and headache board are all bent.
i bet there is more to the story.

  6. I'll bet the guy will wish he had used a Hamb hauler if he's a hamb member. HRP

  7. I wonder if the truck driver is still employed with the shipping company...

  8. Oh man. That really, really sucks. What a waste.

Ha! You should have seen the 1987 BMW 12 cyl. Coupe the wiseass barrel-rolled off the top ramp of the 5 car trailer in Sunnyvale!
Right on its beautiful top. Tragedy! The truck driver was in it, and the General Mgr. of the Dealership dragged him out forcibly.
    Black car, too...

Hope the seller got his money already. Makes me scared to ship my cars anywhere.

  14. Reminds me of when they dropped my rust free 79bronco 2 summers ago.
    Still traumatized by that fiasco.

I know exactly how the owner of that car feels.

I am thinking of the guy in the car, he may be worse off than the buyer/seller.

Whoa! Bummer, Man. I guess I'm lucky. I've shipped two cars to the left coast, and one to the East coast, one to Tenn., and I have had one shipped here from the East coast. No problems at all. I believe most shippers are competent. Knock on wood.

Sometimes it just happens. I sold a fully restored OT car to someone across the country. I teceived the money and "his carrier" picked it up. The next day I received a call from the carrier. It was on the top rack and he droved under a bridge lower than his trailer. At that point I was very happy I had my money.

Was the guy in the Hudson asleep? Maybe he couldn't find the brake pedal.

I watched that TV show where shippers bid for loads, everything they touched was damaged during shipment. I've only had one car shipped, my Daughters Honda from Texas to Virginia and the hood was dented. I think if I ever shipped one of my toys I'd be a nervous wreck.

And that's one reason we can't have nice things....

    Is it cheaper to bundle?

  29. The shipper will probably say it just accelerated all by its self. Then there will be a recall on all Hudsons ----
