10 GOOD reasons why you should plan NOW on attending the 2nd Annual Hot Rod Bustle in San Antonio on Dec 6 - 7: TudorJeff has already posted lots of details about the upcoming Bustle on this form. I don't want to steal his thunder -- or get any of the details wrong -- so check there for more particulars. I just wanted to give you 10 persuasive reasons why you should attend: 1) GOOD guys: Chris, Jeff, Jesus, Raul and the others involved in putting this together are your kinda folks. They not only build cars -- they drive 'em! And they support events all over the state with their presence. Give 'em a little pay-back, huh? 2) GOOD venue: Texas Pride BBQ puts out some tasty food -- they've been featured on "Diners, Drive-Inn's, & Dives" and offer excellent BBQ at fair prices. But it's also something of an "Event Center" with lots of automotive-related memorabilia, good stage for the musical entertainment that's a part of this deal, and even room for a driving event! 3) GOOD price: Chris and the guys don't think you should have to pay more than a spectator to get in the show. So whether you say the car is free and the driver pays or the driver only pays $10 (plus $5 for the first passenger) you're still only paying what they're gonna charge spectators. 4) GOOD-ies: Pre-register for the event and you get not only a killer shirt but an event poster as well. And that's all included in your $10 entry fee 5) GOOD music: Did you enjoy the Octanes at Pistons & Paint? Well, they're gonna be making a South Texas appearance at the bustle, along with a couple of other performers. The music line up is really g-o-o-d and you can get the details on TudorJeff's thread. 6) GOOD chance to drive your hot rod: They've constructed a small dirt track where you can throw some dust and sod in the air from behind the wheel! The Moonshine Run is gonna be a great event for participants and spectators alike. 7) GOOD swag: Pre-registrants will receive one of Raul's posters and work shirts for free! These aren't your ordinary T-shirts, my friend, but are nicely "patina'ed" work shirts that feel good and look great with the event logo silk-screened on the back. 8) GOOD way to help fuel a new hot rod tradition in South Texas. We haven't had a show in South Texas that's specifically intended for the traditional hot rod and Kustom crowd ... until now. Help get one started by supporting the Bustle by attending. 9) GOOD prices on nearby hotels/motels: This is the inexpensive side of San Antonio, folks, so you won't be paying Riverwalk prices for nearby accommodations. And if you want some of the flavor of S.A., you can get that Friday nite with the pre-party, the cruise thru town, and a donation (unwrapped childrens toy) to a GOOD cause. 10) GOOD Excuse: To drive your car, eat BBQ, and drink some beers with your buds. Besides, at this time of year we all know you have nothing better to do anyway And I didn't even mention the on-site Cigarette Girl. Now you know you wanna come ... and you don't even have to save up to make this new tradition fit in your hot rod budget.
