White Knuckle Scramble - Vintage Go Kart and Minibike race

We had a GREAT turnout - about 40 racers, I think, from 6 states including IL, IA, WI, MO, OH, and NY!!

Have pics or video? Post 'em up!! I'll be adding a lot more over the next day or 2.

These are ones I've stolen from FB and other forums so far. Sorry I can't credit everyone, but speak up if they're your pics.

Fastest minibike/best driver on the track. Ed came all the way from NYC, and came in #1 in every heat! Way to go Ed!!

A few minibikes went down. Road rash happened. But the big wreck of the day was when elGringo's steering failed and he went over the grass, through a fence, and hit a building. Luckily he was ok, but his kart (and the building) took some damage.

    Here's where he lost steering

The slowest kart on the track. Everyone lapped John Wells at least once!

Some of Class III/IV in the hot grid. That's me standing up. Seated are elGringo, Tub In Da Dirt, and DragDoc

My hips are a little bruised. :)

There were racers there from at least 6 states - Illinois, Iowa, Wisconsin (Appleton, Milwaukee, etc), Missouri (St. Louis, Columbia), Ohio (Dayton), and New York (NYC).

Thanks, Mike! It was nice meeting you. Everyone keeps telling me that dual 820s are a real handful... but I'm willing to give it a try. :D

Damn it looks like you guys had fun!!! I wish you weren't so far away. Maybe next year now that I'm forced to get my Ranchero up and going I can justify loading the Kart and Mini and setting off across the country.

The dual 820s were not a handful, Kart stuck to track like glue, Just need to make pedals longer, Way to short, Mike and I are just too dam tall!!! Maybe next time if there is not any more dual karts we will take chain off one and run big CC single race Still it was a Blast!!

I'm planning on having at least one 820 by the next race... maybe with dual carbs :). I'd love to have dual 820s, and more duals on the track. I wonder what happend to the guy running triples. He was at the track the week before practicing and said he would be there.

  25. I'm hooked.... I'm talking with the guys I came with to help me find and purchase a real cart with duels to motivate my big ass around. Can't wait for the next race. Tk

Worked on my Fox twin today, We did not have dirt in one carb, Diaphragm had a small tear. Now all we got to do is move pedals ahead And did order some new clutch covers with more teeth Get a little more MPH
