So I decided to start a build tread for my 1936 Chevy low cab pick up. When i started I had pretty much everything excluding the drive train. This is my first build and has taught me a lot about hot rodding and what it takes to build something from the ground up. Almost everything on the build I made from scratch myself with the help of my dad.

Got the frame and suspension parts back from powder coating painting a few random small parts and placing the drivetrain in to the car. At this time that was a ford 9 inch with 373 gears, custom drive line, stock used 700r4 no lockup, 2600 stall, 327 10.5-1, loopy cam with 194 iron heads topped off with a cross ram with two holley 390s.

this set shows the rat version that we took for the first season of shows, the first pic was our first show at midnight mass. The rest of the pics show the cab and interior parts going off to get blasted, the first coat of metal etch, also shows the new 383 roller with hi-performance 700r4

Nice restraint on the chop, haven't quite come to terms with the headlight placement though. Nice job overall.
thank you, Ya I know what you mean I have a set of stainless model a headlights that Im going to put real low on the frame horns and then put a set of 3 inch fog lights on the cowl.

Great looking ride!! What bench seat did you use? And can I ask is that black "wrinkle" paint on the dash? My dash was brown wrinkle paint but I had to modify it for new gauges; now need to refinish it to match the brown wrinkle finish in rest of interior. Thanks, Jerry
Jerry The bench seat is out of a Mazda mpv minivan like 94-98 and its the third row. It folds forward and has a quick release really nice. As for the paint I went through every brand out there none of them would work for me except Eastwood wrinkle rattle cans they only come in a medium gloss black but they work real good if you apply the paint right. Great - ok, thanks. In some research others also suggested Eastwood. I'll give it a try and hopefully I can paint over it with brown. I've subscribed...look forward to more pic's.
So this is for rideordie measurements are as follows 49" long by 45" wide 19-3/4" tall from the bottom to the bend from the bend to the pipe is 4-1/4" the pipe is 1-1/4" galvanized fence post that i washed off the galvanization the bend is 30 degrees (stock is 28) the bed is made of 4 pieces the two sides, a front that is close to the tailgate but only 1 piece of pipe and a role pan that is u shaped that raps around the back of the frame.
re: the wrinkle paint - I found some Eastwood. I'll try to attach a good pic of my dash that you can maybe compare to your results. Then I'd welcome any suggestions. hhmmm, not sure how to attach a photo?
