Proof that even in the most hi-tech of ventures that we should never forget the basics. They never let you down...

got to love those old films. that "Jamb Handy" company made films for all sorts of different things.

  7. Great video. I'm going to show this in my 8th grade physical science class next year. We do a section on simple machines and how they're used practically.

Great video. Start with the basics and work to the more complicated. But, shifting that old Chevy into 2nd gear at 60 MPH? Probably only did it once per engine. Still a great video.

Very cool seeing the 36 Chevy. One of my favorite cars. The French word for transmission is "Box of Speeds", lol. Great video.

I have wondered why Chevrolet didn't offer a first gear synchro until the mid 50s or early 60s, I think the Saginaw 3 speed transmission. I think the 58 Vette had a 4 speed with all synchros, or was that the 61? Anybody have an idea? Beats the hell out of me.

I believe the 57 Corvette was offered with a dealer installed BW-T10 4speed with an cast iron main case.
