OP is talking about those who hit a homerun(cover), not a classified ad. Nice ride, maybe someday.

My six-bangers have been on the Inliners International newsletter covers a couple of times.

But I was even more pleased when magazines like SuperFord, Gasser, and Drag Review accepted my technical articles for publication.

Here's my grandfather driving his dragster on the cover of Hot Rod November 1954 (bottom car on the cover). I currently have the car getting it redone.

Just trying to figure it out. Its not a cover so why its on the thread? Mine was IN a mag but not cover so no post.

Congrats to all who did make the cover. Fine work!

  18. Yes, my '57 VW was on the cover of VW Trends, in June or July, 2001, being chased by a very O/T (New beetle) cop car.
Hope the mention doesn't get this thread deleted, if there is a problem, please PM me and I'll delete the post, so the rest can be left on here, Thanks.

LOL at the memory, about 30 years ago my buddy calls me up and tells me that my truck is on the cover of a magazine that is published here in the PNW. I make a trip to the store and buy the magazine and take home and after about five minutes of looking I find the right front corner of my windshield and roof peeking out from behind the car that was behind the car that they took the picture of.

I'd have to say that having your car to be chosen to be on the cover of a magazine is one of the higher honors of building a car. Maybe someday Or just as good having April May pick my rig for her calender or something she sells.

  25. Hey 30nerd, what about my model car cover? Does that count? You have a copy, I don't.

    Dmarv- that's the coolest!

I think I still have the popular Hot Rodding that your Willys was on in a box somewhere 33Hemi. That is if the mice didn't get in that box and chew up the magazine in it. Most of my somewhere around 5000 magazine collection will probably end up at the dump because it got ruined in storage.
